Description

RFP 670-28-01 will be issued on or about June 27, 2001 and the solicitation is unrestricted. Written or faxed (315-477-4508) requests for the solicitation are required, including company name, address, POC, telephone voice number, fax number, and e-mail address. No telephone requests will be accepted. Work includes all labor, material, equipment and supervision necessary to prepare utilities to accommodate Government provided equipment (seventeen new Arjo Tornado Flusher Disinfectors) at the Syracuse VA Medical Center, Syracuse NY. The work will include but not be limited to general construction alterations, plumbing, and electrical work as required by the solicitation. Removal of existing units, including three not being replaced is also required. The work will be done in 6 phases with a total contract time of 265 calendar days. Attendance at a pre-proposal meeting tentatively scheduled for July 10, 2001 is considered essential. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors (listed in descending order of priority) shall be used to evaluate offers: Construction Management including Key Personnel and Proposed Subcontractors, Past Experience & Past Performance, Price, and SDB Participation Program. Technical, Past Performance and SDB Participation Program factors, when combined, are significantly more important than Price. Offerors are advised that if the technical proposals are essentially equal, award will be made on the basis of the lowest price. Estimated construction cost range is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. NAICS code is 233320 and the size standard is $27.5M.
