- This is a Sources Sought announcement only. There is NO solicitation for any action at this time. This synopsis is issued for the sole purpose of the 50th Contacting Squadron to conduct Market Research on project entitled Replace Barricade System, Bldg 200, at Schriever AFB, Colorado. National Industrial Classification Systems Codes is 235990, size standard $11,500,000. The purpose of this project is to demolish and dispose of the existing barricade system and install a new system, to include the labor, materials, equipment and services. The replacement system should be comparable in dimensions from the existing system (121? long and 32? high). The replacement system must fit in the existing concrete vault. The system shall be crash rated and capable of being operated during a power outage. The system shall allow no window of vulnerability during the cycle of operations. The system shall have radio control operation as well as multiple control operation capabilities. Additionally, the system shall have power-off operations and auxiliary emergency fast operations with a maximum two (2) second travel time from rest to their fully engaged position. Based on the responses received from the announcement, the Government will follow the procedures set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulations, and supplements thereto, to determine whether this requirement will be set aside for 8(a) or full and open competition. All firms expressing interest must be able to demonstrate qualifications necessary to accomplish this work in accordance with the statement of work as well as the drawings. Interested firms are requested to complete the attached survey and submit capability statements in writing to SSgt Jason Thomas within 15 days of this publication, stating the following: (a) size of firm (large or small business), involvement in Socio-Economic Programs (SDB, Woman Owned, etc.), (b) contracts (commercial or government), (c) contract numbers, (d) dollar value, (e) dates of performance, (f) procurement center and point of contact. The capability statement should evidence relevant experience in the above areas and include the information requested in this announcement. The Government reserves the right to not contact firms who fail to supply the required information with in the time specified in this statement.
