Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is RFQ 541-081-01 and is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 27. This is an unrestricted procurement (NAICS 421450, 100 employees). VAMC Cincinnati has a requirement for one (1) automated immunoanalyzer system comprised of a computer terminal, printer, keyboard, reader/computer processor and batch test processor. The system must to be able to perform the following functions/tasks: Provide assays for detection of 1) antibodies to infectious agents, 2) antigens of infectious agents, and 3) toxins of infectious agents (e.g. Clostridium difficile toxin); Run at least five different assays simultaneously (multiparametric analysis); Can expand to include assays for the detection of the RNA of infectious agents and assay includes an internal amplification control for each patient sample tested. Provide testing from at least one (1) to 60 tests per hour; Instrument provides total automation for supported assays (i.e., requires no manual labor after the sample is loaded) and can run unattended on the shift to completion of the assay without the need for technical staff; Provide print out results; Required to operate on an electrical system of 110 volt; Contractor shall install and ensure proper operation prior to acceptance; and, provide equipment orientation and systems operations training for one person on the system. Contractor must price separately as follows: 0001 Equipment, 0002 Installation, and 0003 Training. Immunoanalyzer System will be FOB VAMC Cincinnati by 4:30 pm, July 30, 2001. Delivery location is VAMC Cincinnati, Bldg 1, Room B211, 3200 Vine St., Cincinnati, OH 45220.
