Description

The US Coast Guard in Alameda, CA., proposes to contract for Repairs on the USCGC EDISTO, a 110' patrol boat homeported in San Diego, CA. Work will start on 16 Oct 2001 and complete by 16 Nov 2001, at the cutter's moorage in San Diego, CA. Work items include; hull and structural plating repair, electric meters calibration, shaft tach calibration, flooding alarm modification, pyrometers and thermocouples calibration, single point davit inspect and test, sewage vacuum isolation valve installation and piping modification and deck covering renewal. In accordance with the SBCDP (Small Business Competitive Demostration Program), a solicitation (IFB) Invitation For Bid will be issued on 16 July 2001. For Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, The DOT Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT short term lending program (STLP), at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
