Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a Contractor to supply all labor, material, and equipment necessary to install a 24' x 50' pre-cast concrete building, at its Gaithersburg, Maryland site. Complete specifications shall be issued with the Request for Quotation -- This requirement is being procured using the simplified procedures identified in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, as supplemented by FAR Part 36, Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts, and the full solicitation package. -The NAICS for this requirement is 23499 with a size standard of $27.5M. -- The magnitude of construction is anticipated between $25,000 and $100,000. -- Work is required to be completed within twelve (12) weeks after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. -- All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. See Numbered Note 1 and 26. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement will be made available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizops.gov/. The solicitation is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about July 9, 2001 and will only be available via the Internet at the above web site. Potential quoters are responsible for accessing the web site. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant order. There is no written request for quote document available, and telephone requests will not be honored. Potential quoters are requested to direct all questions and their interest to be on the "Bid List" via email to Joan.Smith@nist.gov.
