- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement to procure Cargo Hatches and related drawings, engineering data, technical data, as outlined below. These Hatches shall be placed in the ELC Stock System until such time of installation onboard the 225'A Class Coast Guard Seagoing Buoy Tenders. Hatches shall be manufactured in accordance with Coast Guard technical description and Coast Guard Drawing Number 225-WLB-597-15 and shall be constrcuted of ASTM A131 Grade EH36 steel. An acceptable Hatch that meets the Coast Guard requirements is Walz & Krenzer Drawing Number D-WK-820-39. Competitive quotations are being sought. Specific requirements are as follows: (1) Hatch, 102" W x 156" L clear opening, cargo hatch for the 225'A Class Spill Oil Recovery System modifications; quantity 5 each; (2) Certified Letter of ABS Approval confirming compliance with ABS rules for building and classing steel vessels (1989), quantity 5 each; (3) Engineering Drawings For Approval, in accordance with CG Drawing Number 225-B-595-15. Design documents shall include overall and outline dimensions, total weight and center of gravity, installation dimension and requirements, list of materials, welding details, and painting/coating details, quantity 6 each; (4) Engineering Drawing, Paper Copies, As Approved, quantity 7 each; (5) List of Preventative Maintenance Requirements for all equipment including safety requirements, references, tools required, consumables required, parts, and procedure for maintenance, quantity 7 each; (6) List of all tools required for normal operations and maintenance, to include descriptions, model or part numbers, quantity required, current price, and function, quantity 6 each; (7) Technical Manuals For Approval, quantity 7 each; (8) Technical Manuals, As Approved, quantity 7 each; (9) Engineering Drawings on Autocad File, For Approval, compatible with Autocad14, quantity 1 each; (10) Engineering Drawings on Autocad File, As Approved, compatible with Autocad14, quantity 1 each; and (11) Reproducible Technical Manual. Clear, distinctive, legible master copy for reproduction purposes, quantity 1 each. OFFEROR'S SHALL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT SIX (6) COPIES OF THE PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING DRAWINGS WITH THEIR PROPOSAL. FAR Clauses 52.227-14, Rights In Data -- General (Jun 1987) and FAR 52.227-23, Rights to Proposal Data (Technical)(June 1987), shall be incorporated into the RFQ and resultant award. All engineering, technical and maintenance manuals and drawings shall be submitted without any proprietary or distribution restrictions. The Coast Guard intends to acquire rights to distribute drawings and manuals to other Coast Guard districts as well as be able to release for any possible future procurements. The required delivery shall be no later than 1 December 2001. Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination to U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the Agency.
