Description
The Kansas Army National Guard (KSARNG) intends to negotiate with Honeywell International Inc., on a single source basis pursuant to FAR Subpart 6.302-1, a logistical support services contract for a base year plus 4 one-year options. The contract shall provide logistical support (repair parts) and engineering support services for the KSARNG AGT-1500 turbine engine rebuild program. Rebuilt engines must meet Allied Signal Fabrication Specification 91547-E2180, (Revision H dated 13 August 1999) as determined by the conduct of the overhaul engine test defined as ETP-21500DECU (dated 30 June 2000). The contractor shall be in control of the development and design of repair parts and shall provide information concerning development changes to the Kansas Army National Guard (KSARNG). The contractor shall guarantee conformance of all repair parts provided to the KSARNG. The contractor shall provide appropriate responses to engine performance, rebuild process, repair part and quality assurance questions that originate from personnel at the KSARNG Advanced Turbine Engine Army Maintenance (ATEAM) engine rebuild shop, Fort Riley, KS. Responses to the technical questions must be timely as determined by a level of effort required to answer the questions. The contractor shall be required to inform the KSARNG anytime responses or recommendations exceed or deviate current approved government configuration or processes. Pursuant to FAR Subpart 6.302-1 Honeywell International Inc. is believed to be the only responsible source having the technical expertise and experience necessary to perform these services. Others who believe they also have the capability to perform the described services must submit an experience resume indicating prior contracts and special experience with the AGT1500 Engine and repair parts support systems. Include points of contact, contract numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers. Information must be submitted within 30 days from date of this notice.
