Description

Reconstruct up to 13.5 miles of the Bartram Trail in Rabun County, GA. This is being issued as a negotiated procurement. In addition to price, evaluation criteria are 1) experience constructing or reconstructing trails using Forest Service standard specifications, 2) quality of work, and 3) timeliness of performance. Work includes waterbars, check dams, dips, puncheon walkways, log cribbing, steps, stepping stones, bridge construction, and construction of a boardwalk and observation deck. Work is expected to begin approximately October 15, 2001. This contract is set-aside for small businesses.
