Description

Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, supplies, materials, equipment and supervision necessary to install government-supplied floor tile and vinyl cove base in 34 rooms in the Unaccompanied Personnel Housing building located at the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center, Cape May, New Jersey(Cape May county). All products shall be installed according to industry standards and manufacturer's recommendations. Work includes but is not limited to the following: Remove and dispose of existing carpet and vinyl cove base (approx. 270 square feet of carpet and 72 linear feet of vinyl cove base per room), all walls shall be protected from any damage during removal and installation, prepare sub-flooring for installation of new tile, provide the manufacturer suggested adhesive for floor tile and vinyl cove base, install new gov't-furnished tile and cove base, provide and install thresholds. The removed carpet, cove base, and debris becomes the property of the contractor and shall be disposed of properly off of the Training Center property. It is strongly recommended that a site visit be made to check measurements, layout, etc. There is no charge for the solicitation package. No Bid Bond is required. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The performance period is 60 calendar days. Award will be made to the lowest responsible quoter. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program and is open to large and small business participation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235520, with a size standard of $11.5 million. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by this agency. Solicitation packages will be mailed on or about 9 July 2001.
