ESTIMATED ISSUE DATE: 19 July 01. ESTIMATED COST RANGE: Between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. PROJECT: AJXF 96-1507 consists of providing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials and performing all operations necessary to repair and replace the existing asphalt concrete shoulder and the new construction of 25 feet of additional asphalt pavement along Taxiway Whiskey located on Andrews Air Force Base, MD. Major items of work include, but are not limited to: Removal of 25? of asphalt concrete pavement along the shoulder of the Taxiway Whiskey and adding an additional 25? of pavement to have a total of a 50 foot wide shoulder. Includes repair/replacement of the existing Taxiway lights and the wiring between each light. Total contract performance period is 300 calendar days, which includes a 90 calendar day winter exclusionary period. The proposed procurement is Unrestricted. Clauses 52.232-18 ?Availability of Funds? and 52.232-19 ?Availability of Funds" ? Crossing Fiscal Years applies to this solicitation. The NAICS code is 234110. An award will be made to the offeror who the Government determines can best accomplish the necessary work to satisfy the requirements set forth in the RFP in a manner most advantageous to the Government. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low offeror. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. Offer guarantee required when requested by the Contracting Officer. Copies of the solicitation, blueprints and specifications, can be downloaded from http://www.eps.gov the Electronic Posting System (EPS) and should be available on or after 18 July 01. Written or facsimile requests for the solicitation and/or other documents will not be accepted. It is the responsibility of the contractor to download a copy of the solicitation from the web site listed above. The prospective offerors are responsible for obtaining the solicitation and all amendments off the EPS web page.
