Description
The United States Air Force is requesting proposals for roof repairs of various buildings at three Air Force installations: Hanscom AFB in Bedford MA, New Boston AS in Amherst NH, and Cape Cod AS in Sagamore MA. The project will be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, which will consist of separate delivery orders. The Government reserves the right to award to multiple firms, with intent to select at least two. This IDIQ contract will consist of a basic year and one option year. The project involves all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and performance of all operations required to complete the aforementioned work in accordance with drawings and specifications. The principle items of work include, but are not limited to, removing, installing, and repairing: various decking and underlayments, asphalt shingles, roll roofing, membranes, metal roofing, and build-up roofing systems. Contractor may also install wood soffits, trim, roof ventilation, gravel stops, flashings, roof drains and gutters. The magnitude of construction for this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The guaranteed minimum for the life of the contract is $45,000.00, with a maximum total of $3,500,000.00. The minimum delivery order is $1,000.00. Maximum value of delivery orders that may be issued simultaneously is $1,000,000.00. The solicitation for this project will ONLY be available at the following internet address: http://www.herbb.hanscom.af.mil on or about 9 Jul 01. This acquisition is offered for competition limited to eligible 8(a) concerns. Eligibility to participate may be restricted to firms in either the developmental or transitional stage. Interested 8(a) firms are encouraged to request a copy of the solicitation expeditiously since the solicitation will be issued without further notice upon SBA acceptance of the requirement for the section 8(a) program. All interested parties MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database in order to receive an award. Applications for CCR registration may be obtained at the following internet address: http://www.ccr2000.com. Responses sent via USPS, Federal Express, UPS, or hand-carried, etc., shall be mailed to: ESC/PKOC, Attn: Lt Dan Stupinski, 20 Schilling Circle, Bldg. 1305 3rd Floor, Hanscom AFB, MA 01731-2800. A site visit will be scheduled at a later date. Proposals will be due on or about 8 Aug 01. Award(s) will be made on or about 15 Sep 01. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after receipt of proposals, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. FUNDS ARE CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS REQUIREMENT. OFFERORS ARE ADVISED THAT THE COST OF ANY RESPONSE TO OR OTHER COST INCURRED AS A RESULT OF THIS SOLICITATION IS AT THE OFFEROR'S OWN RISK.
