Description

Naval Inventory Control Point, Mechanicsburg intends to contract on a sole-source basis with Electric Boat Corporation, Groton, Ct, for the supply support of items as system stock to be utilized in various Submarine programs, along with requisition processing to satisfy priority Submarine requirements. Items supported will include Electric Boat part numbers for which adequate technical data is available only from this contractor, and vendor items for which there is an urgent requirement that can only be met by Electric Boat. Acquisition of supply support shall be made in conjunction with a Performance Based Logistics effort between the contractor and Government. Award is anticipated August 2001, with a one (1) year validity period. This notice is not a solicitation, but rather an announcement of potential subcontracting possibilities which may become available via the prime contractor under this initiative. See notes 9, 22, and 26.
