Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, has a project entitled Koma Kulshan Bunkhouse, Mt. Baker Ranger District, Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, near Concrete, WA. The work includes but is not limited to: designing, constructing, delivering and installing a complete engineered, weathertight, modular building and foundation. Work includes all utilities and all concrete entrance/exit landings and patios. Outside septic system will not be part of the awarded contract. Contractor shall demolish and dispose of the existing wood frame bunkhouse. Also included is the demolition of 2 exisiting slabs of concrete, one is bare, the other is under the existing bunkhouse. Site clearing and preparation will be required. Award will be made for either an 11 bedroom or 15 bedroom floorplan building. This solicitation will result in a combination Supply and Construction contract. Davis Bacon wages will be required for on-site work. The period of performance will be 270 calendar days after receipt of a Notice to Proceed (NTP) (NTP is estimated to be issued 8/20/2001). Bonds will be required. Price evaluation preference will be given to HUBzone small business concerns. The solicitation will be issued as a Request For Quotation No. R6-MBS-1-23-M and will be available on or about July 10, 2001, with quotations to be received no later than August 10, 2001. The solicitation is issued under full and open competition and FAR Part 12, Commercial Items procedures will be utilized. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 321992, with a corresponding size standard of 500 employees. All responsible sources may submit a quotation.
