Description

The Department of the Army, Directorate of Peninsula Contracting, Fort Eustis, Virginia, is issuing a RENEWAL of a Regional Franchise Agreement for the provision of Cable Television Services including system installation, maintenance, and provision of basic cable reception/programming. Ideally, the cable provider would, at its own expense and at no expense to the Government, furnish all parts, materials and labor necessary for cable system installation (including inside wiring) to make services available to three military installations at Forts Eustis, Story, and Monroe, Virginia. Initial system installation would include all cable outlets currently throughout Forts Eustis, Story, and Monroe. System maintenance would also be furnished by the cable provider at no expense to Department of the Army. Under the provisions of the Regional Franchise Agreement for the installation, provision, and maintenance of cable television services, the Department of the Army may purchase from the provider basic cable reception and program services for a specified period of time under a non-exclusive agreement. Vendors with the capability to provide Cable Television Services as described in this notice are invited to submit in writing, sufficient information that demonstrates their ability to fulfill the requirement. Responses must include descriptive literature and a point of contact (name and telephone number). Vendors are advised that they are not restricted in what is presented in their information as long as sufficient material(s) are provided to allow proper evaluation. The Directorate of Peninsula Contracting will consider all responses received. No solicitation document exists. Information received shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to issue multiple non-exclusive Regional Franchise Agreements for a potential future competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
