Description

This solicitation will be published on the internet, where it may be downloaded. No telephone requests will be honored. No hard copies of this solicitation will be furnished. The solicitation can be viewed at the following web site that is off the OSC home page: http://www.osc.army.mil/ac/aaif/ioc. Failure by the offeror to properly address the solicitation instructions may result in a late proposal, which cannot be considered. Opening date O/A 07/15/2001. Closing date O/A 08/15/2001. Headquarters U. S. Army Operations Support Command intends to contract for low-level radioactive waste services. The services include waste consolidation, volume reduction, waste processing, repackaging, decontamination capability and brokerage services. A security classification of "SECRET" is required. Approximate closing is 15 August 2001. Any contract awarded under this solicitation will be made only to a source approved under HQ OSC'S Qualified Bidders list. The category under the Qualified Bidders list is "Processing and disposal of low-level radioactive waste. Contact the contract specialist for information regarding qualification requirements. Please note that award under this solicitation will not be held up waiting for an offeror to become qualified. Offerors must already be qualified at the time they submit their proposals. Award will be made on or before October 1, 2001-with an effective date of October 1, 2001.
