Description

Project consists of: construction of a concrete (CIP) containment structure, tank footings (CIP) 24' x 28' garage slab, installation of two government furnished 10,000 gallon steel tanks, installation of tank level and switches, installation of two 30-hp 240V 3PH motors w/ pumps, installation of two 120V 1PH motors w/ pumps, installation of all motor controls as specified, installation of specified piping and plumbing for full operation of mixing and loading fire retardant and installation of specified electrical wiring and equipment in existing pumphouse and adjacent construction area. Project located on the Kawishiwi Ranger District, Superior NF, St. Louis County, MN, approx. 7 miles SE of Ely, MN along SH 1. Desired date for starting work is September 20, 2001. Recommended contract time is 180 days. Project range is $100,000 to $250,000.
