Description

The work consists of rewedging of generator stator windings for units 1 and 2 at Beaver Powerhouse, Beaver lake, near Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Work includes inspection and evaluation of the generator, testing of the generator (before and after rewedging), installation of new wedges, cleaning of the generator assembly, generator reassembly, and installing new PDA coupler capacitors. The generators may contain asbestos and lead base paint. The Contractor will be responsible for the removal and disposal of the asbestos and lead base paint as encountered. Supplememntal work will be provided in accordance with the plans and specifications. The job is unrestricted and the magnitude is $250,000 to $500,000. The date of issue will be on or about July 24, 2001, and proposals are due on or about August 23, 2001.
