Description

Klamath Falls Airtanker Base Construction. The project consists of the construction of a new Airtanker facility at Kinsley Field in Klamath Falls, OR. The work will consist of site work for taxiways, taxilanes and loading pads which will include earthwork, asphalt demolition, fill, compaction, underground piping, trenching, subgrade preparation, aspalting, forming and concrete work. Also included will be the construction of a 3,500 square foot operations building, 1200 square foot warehouse building, tank farm and piping system, security fencing and lighting. An Optional 3,500 square foot building may also be included depending on funding. All work will be per FAA, City of Klamath Falls, Klamath County and Forest Service specifications. The project is located at Klamath Falls Airport/Kingsley Field in Klamath Falls, Oregon. The airport is a secured air facility and any access will need to be coordinated with the City of Klamath Falls Airport Manager. The Airport is located south of Klamath Falls along the Southside Bypass and on the east end of Joe Wright Road. The project site is located at the northeast corner of the airport at the south end of Summers Lane. The estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This is a total HUBZone set-aside.
