Sitework for the project includes but is not limited to earthwork, site utilities and site improvements, paving, and landscaping. Building construction includes concrete foundations and slab-on-grade, wood framing and structure, wood trusses and decking, roof shingles, sheet metal, exterior brick masonry veneer, interior wood stud partitions, building insulation, aluminum storefront and framing, glass and glazing. Also required are metal dooors, wood doors, metal frames, door hardware, metal fabrications, toilet accessories, interior and exterior signage, loading dock equipment, a complete heating, ventilating and air conditioning system, building electrical systems, and provisions for future installation of security systems. Interior finishes include painted gypsum board walls and ceilings, acoustical lay-in ceilings, resilient tile floors, and carpeting. The project requires custom cabinets and fixtures. Related work not listed may be required in order to provide the USPS a finished postal facility ready for occupancy and use upon completion of the project. Other work required on the project includes construction of self-supporting structurally independent fire walls between the new post office and an existing structure on the adjacent property to the north and between the new post office and the adjacent property line to the south of the project site. During construction, the Contractor will have full use of the proejct site. Storage and staging areas will be very limited and phasing of construction operations may be required due to existing site limitations. Vehicular traffic is to be maintained on the existing public alleyway adjacent to the west property line of the project site. Separation of the construction site from the alleyway will be required. The estimated price range is between $550,000 and $660,000 with completion within 270 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
