ISSUE DATE: 06/25/2001. Work includes: Design and build a new steel frame pre-engineered building complete with a concrete foundation, insulated wall panels, windows, doors, partitions, electrical work, plumbing, heating, a bridge crane and hoist assembly, and associated site work. (Reference Sources Sought CBD advertisement of 2/7/2001 DTCGG1-01-R-3WKSUE.) Evaluation criteria consist of but are not limited to the following: (1)Contractor shall be a licensee of a pre-engineered steel building manufacturer. Pre-Engineered building manufacturer shall be a member of the Metal Building Manufacturer?s Association (MBMA). Pre-engineered steel building manufacturer shall also be certified by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) as a class MB(Metal Buildings) manufacturer. The pre-engineered building manufacturer shall have a minimum of 10 years of experience manufacturing pre-engineered buildings; (2) contractor shall have at least 5 years of experience erecting pre-engineered steel buildings; (3) contractor shall have completed at least 10 projects that included erecting pre-engineered buildings; (4) contractor shall be familiar with code requirements for southern New Hampshire and adjacent areas of southern Maine, and have experience providing pre-engineered buildings that meet code requirements for these locations; (5) contractor shall have experience that includes designing and constructing foundation systems for pre-engineered buildings. NAICS code is 233310. Estimated cost range of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Solicitation packages to be available on or about 10 July 2001. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
