Description

Furnish all plant, labor, equipment, material and supervision necessary to renovate Rolling Pin (Enlisted Men's) Barracks buildings, Fort Gordon, GA. Buildings have approximately 41,500 square feet in 3 floors and 800 square feet in basement mechanical room. Work includes demolition, replacement of drywall, latrine renovations, upgrade/installation of fire alarm system, floor and tile work, painting, lay-in ceilings, lighting, door and hardware replacement, renovation of laundry rooms, asbestos removal and electrical upgrades. Solicitation will contain individual line items consisting of the work (or combinations of work) specified above. Award will be subject to the availability of funds. This will be an indefinite-quantity, indefinite delivery (IDIQ) contract. Performance periods will be identified on each task order. Task orders will be issued as funds become available. Performance time will be subject to performance values assigned to individual line item(s) awarded on each task order. Project range is $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00. Projected issued date is 30 Jul 01 with a projected bid opening date of 30 Aug 01. This project is being issued under the Small Business Administration's 8(a) program as a competitive procurement. Competition will be limited to 8(a) certified construction firms located within the geographical area serviced by the SBA, region IV. In accordance with DFARS 52.204-7004 regarding Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prospective contractors may register electronically via Internet by accessing the following website: http://ccr2000.com or phone 1-888-227-2423. Solicitation documents, excluding drawings will only be available from the Fort Gordon website: http://www.gordon.army.mil/doc. Drawings will only be available by written request to the Directorate of Contracting. A limited supply of drawings will be available for this project. Once supply is exhausted, requests will be returned without action. Requests for drawings will only be honored if received within 15 calendar days of publication date of this notice in the CBD. Prospective contractors should also be aware that bidder's mailing list for this project will be comprised of only those contractors who have requested drawings and have provided a written request for the same.
