Item 0001 NSN 1377-01-126-7690ES P/N: 818696-3, P/N 321-26106-516 Gas generator is 6.5 inches long, 1.74 inches in diameter and weighs 2.0 lbs. It contains 7.205 grams of explosives consisting of 0.135 grams petn, 6.33 grams hes 8028 and 0.740 grams bk03. Kind of material: stainless steel. Fun: of item: smdc initiates tbi which in turn initiates pyrotechnic gas generator load then expelled into component. 78ea. Applicable to: B-52. Destn: Hill Air Force Base, Ut 84056-5805. Delivery:31 DEC 2001 78 ea Qualification requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. The requirements of FAR 9.202(A) have been completed and copies of the qualification requirements and standards may be obtained as described in the solicitation. These qualification requirements apply to line item(s) all The approximate issue/response date will be 16 JUL 2001. The anticipated award date will be 06 AUG 2001. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor, concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Although, by DoD-STD-100 definition, altered and selected items shall have an adequate technical data package, data review discloses that required data or data rights are not in Government possession and cannot be economically obtained.
