Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to enter into a sole source contract with the Center for Venture Research, at the University of New Hampshire/ Whittemore School of Business and Economics, under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253-(c) (1)-only one responsible source. The University of New Hampshire is uniquely qualified due to its involvement in the development of the early stage equity financing for high growth technology ventures. The contractor shall provide timely information on the activities in the early stage equity market, and more importantly, to identify trends in the market and how these trends relates to the funding gap. The Government anticipates the award of a Firm Fixed-Price Purchase Order. The proposed requirement is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.106. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations. However, the government will consider all quotations received by July 6, 2001. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) Package is not available. See Note 26.****
