Description

In accordance with Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), the National Park Service intends to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for a research study "A Feminist Perspective on New Orleans Jazz Women" for New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park, New Orleans, Louisiana. The research study will provide documented information on the historic role of women in New Orleans jazz from approximately 1875 through the end of the twentieth century. Women such as Lil Hardin Armstrong, Blue Lu Barker, Sweet Emma Barrett, The Boswell Sisters, are just a few of the artists that would be included. The study will investigate and document the contributions of New Orleans women to jazz culture by summarizing each contributor's life, music, and legacy, all relative to New Orleans's complex political, cultural, and social context. Deliverables include meetings, project outline, reviews, draft report and final report. This is a small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541720. The size standard is $5.0 million. There will ONLY be 35 copies of the solicitation package available.
