Description

The U.S. Dept. of Commerce/NOAA/National Weather Service (NOS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Coastal States Organization (CSO) to further the objectives of the NOS/CSO Coordination Committee. This committee has been established in support of the Coastal Zone Management Act of 1972 to strengthen communication and cooperation in integrated coastal management and to further shared coastal stewardship objectives and goals. It will develop, support and conduct a Coastal Communications and Outreach Project to support the communications objectives of the coordination committee. The coordination committee will provide policy that guides the collaborative and individual efforts of federal and state coastal management programs and activities. The CSO will promote the availability of NOAA coastal management literature and technical documents to states and territories. This is a notice of intent with no solicitation package available. Award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures. (Reference No. 01-00033)
