Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to procure Maintenance Dredging and Beach Nourishment for the Fire Island Inlet and Shore Westerly to Jones Inlet, New York Beach Erosion Control and Navigation. The project consists to perform maintenance dredging of the Federal Navigation channel and deposition basin at Fire Island Inlet with placement of the dredged material as nourishment along the designated feeder beach (Gilgo) and possibly along Robert Moses State Park (RMSP). Basic Schedule Placement of 1,000,000 CY of dredged material at Giljo Beach. Option Schedule Placement of 160,000 CY of dredged material at RMSP. The estimated date for the availability CD-ROM of plans and specifications will be on or about 25 July 2001. The estimated date for bid opening will be on or about 28 August 2001 at 11:00 AM EST at US Army Corps of Engineer, 26 Federal Plaza, Room 1843, New York, NY 10278-0090.
