Description

The original CBD announcement as posted in CBDNet on June 8, 2001 and printed in issue dated June 12 is modified. The classification code is corrected to construction (Y) and additional information pertaining to registration for the solicitation is provided. The Government is seeking qualified sources interested in submitting a proposal for a Basic Combat Training (BCT) Complex to be constructed at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. The Army requires a construction contract for a standard design battalion sized basic training complex for 1200 persons. The work will include, but not be limited to, construction of five (5) barracks buildings of approximately 60,000 sq. ft. each, Headquarters/ Administration building, a dining facility capable of feeding 1,200 trainees plus cadre at each meal period, and a central chilling plant sized to support an additional battalion complex. Buildings will be steel-frame with brick veneer. Work will also include 27 acres of site work, asphalt paving, parking, a service road, prime electrical power, and exterior training facilities. The anticipated date for issuance is now 31 July 2001. This agency will consider all proposals submitted by responsible sources. Estimated cost of proposed procurement will exceed $50,000,000.00.
