Description
This is a modification to combined synopsis/solicitation number SB1341-01-Q-0748, advertised on June 18, 2001. In response to the above referenced synopsis/solicitation, the following questions were submitted. The answers are the official Government response to those questions. In addition, the closing date and time for submission of quotes is hereby extended from 3:00 pm local time on July 2, 2001 to 3:00 pm local time on July 9, 2001. 1. What is the KVA rating? The Government has provided the voltage and amperage for each of the panels in the enclosure. This gives the KVA. See specifications (h), (i), (j), and (k) of the solicitation. 2. What type of transformer will be used? No transformer will be used. As described in the solicitation, three feeds will be brought to the enclosure, with each feed powering two of the six panels. 3. Would you consider a different configuration that could meet your functional requirements? Yes, the Government would consider different configurations. However, due to space limitations, configurations of more panels will probably not fit in the limited space and configurations of fewer panels will not meet the separation requirements. 4. Has this specific cabinet been manufactured for NIST before, if so, are existing designs or blueprints available? NIST has not purchased these panels before and there is no archived information on them. No detailed drawings are available. Quoters shall provide proposed sketches, drawings, and/or designs. 5. What are the quantity and duty ratings for the circuit breaker feeders required in each panel? See specifications (h), (i), (j), and (k) of the solicitation. The duty cycle is not listed, but the Government is looking for standard lighting/distribution panel boards. 6. Is it the Government?s expectation that circuit breakers will be in the panelboards? Yes. 7. Are there any covers needed for the Wiremold? Yes. 8. Is it expected that that the wiremold run horizontally across the cabinet? Yes. 9. Shall the wiremold be accessible from the outside of the cabinet without opening any doors? Yes. 10. Are the panelboards to be mounted so as to be accessible without opening any doors? Yes. Moreover, the panelboards shall be flush mounted in the housing of the cabinet. All other specifications, terms and conditions remain unchanged.
