NASA/LaRC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for ALLEN BRADLEY REMOTE INPUT/OUTPUT PARTS Items include. Part Numbers (1) 1794-ASB Remote I/O adpater with 24 VDC power supply (10 each), (2) 1794-TB3 Terminal Base, 3 wire (40 each), (3) 1794-OW8 Relay contact output, 8 point isolated (10 each), (4) 1794-OA16 85-132 VAC output module, 16 point (5 each), (5) 1794-IA16 85-132 VAC input module, 16 points (5 each), (6) 1794-OB16 24 VDC source output module, 16 point (5 each), (7) 1794-IB16 24 VDC input module, 16 point (5 each), (8) 1794-IF2XOF21 Isolated Analog combo module (10 each), (9) 1794-IB10XOB6 10/6 24 VDC combo module (1o each), and (10) Stock Number 48F3786 Type 104FINHR-N5, Flashing Halogen Light, Color Red, 120 VAC, .25 Amps (6 each). This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/LaRC intends to purchase the items from Electrical Equipment Company, who is the only authorized distributor in the Virginia area. These parts will be used to expand an existing Allen Bradley PLC5-40 and Remote I/O network in the NASA Larc's 14 x 22 Subsonic Tunnel. Only Allen Bradley parts can ensure continuity of operation and proper interface with the existing system. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on July 13, 2001. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
