Description

The USGS has a sole source requirement and no RFQ's will be issued. The USGS intends to negotiate and issue a contract to Schlumberger located in Englewood, Co. Logging services for core holes. Each hole is not to exceed 2000' in depth. Logs for each site to include: Electrical induction array, gross gamma, platform express, nuclear magnetic resonance, formation micro-imager, spectral gamma, geochemical, and sonic. Data processing mobilization and all other related costs are also inclusive in this package deal. The techniques that are required are unique to one geophysical logging company. The tools that will be run down the borehole were developed and are patented by this company that will obtain the vital data necessary to properly complete this job. These tools specifically are the formation Micro-imager and the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance. Well services for the period of August 20th, 2001 through November 1, 2002, sites in Los Angeles.
