Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution Manchester, KY., intends to award a firm-fixed price requirement's type contract for Vocational Training in computer-aided Drafting. These services will be provided to the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution. The successful contractor will be responsible for providing instruction for exploratory and marketable skill VT AutoCad programs, which includes up to a one year curriculum. Additionally, the instructor will ensure the curriculum covers the necessary work leading to a completion on the NOCTI Exam. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside. The institution anticipates the need for four (4) sessions per week. Each session is seven and one-half (7.5) hours in length. This is a contractual position, not an appointment to a government position and will not exceed 30 hours in a given week. The anticipated period of performance will be from the award, tentatively 10/01/2001 through twelve months. Additionally, the contact will provide for four (4) twelve month option periods. The anticipated release date of this solicitation is July 18, 2001; closing August 10, 2001. All responsible sources may submit written requests for consideration.
