Description

The Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a need for an Indefinite Delivery type contract for the Identification and Enumeration of Phytoplankton Contained in Gravity Concentrated Preserved Samples. The original sample volumes are 2000 ml and the volume of the concentrates range from approximately 50 to 150 ml. Either Sedgewick-Rafter or Parmer-Maloney counting chamber may be used. Dilutions must result in a least 300 organisms per sample being identified and enumerated where feasible. The minimum acceptable level of identification required is 90 percent to the genus level and 70 percent to the species level. The period of performance will be from date of award through a 12 month period, with four one-year option periods. The specifications will be available approximately 20 July 2001 and will be provided free of charge. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small businesses.
