Description

Window Replacement Project, Subject to the availability of Government Funds. The following procurement is approved as a competitive project, restricted to 8(a) firms registered with the SBA, New Orleans District Office, Louisiana. All other firms are deemed ineligible to submit offers. The NAIC is 233320, size standard $27.5 million. Interested, qualified firms may request in writing a copy of a Compact Disk (CD) with the solicitation documents. Firms must have a word processor software comparable to MS Word 6.0, Autodesk View or CADD. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for July 20, 2001, 10:00 am, building 4, Engineering conference room. It is strongly recommended to visit the site, this will insure the full benefit of the scope and conditions as they exist. Phase I, to be awarded During FY 2001, subject to the availability of Government Funds. Phase I will be to remove and replace the existing Windows of the south side of Building 1, in accordance with contract specifications. Contractor shall verify all quantities, dimensions and conditions as they exist. Work consists of removal of existing window sashes (frames and sills are to remain unless otherwise specified) and installation of new window units and trim to cover all of the existing frame. Approximate numbers and sizes of windows to be replaced: a. 450 double hung windows, opening size 8=W x 6=H b. 84 projection windows, opening size 4=- 6@ W x 5=- 10@H c. 161 projection windows, opening size 3=- 1@W x 7=- 4@H Interested and qualified Louisiana 8(a) firms may request in writing a copy of the solicitation CD.
