Description

The contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, transportation and equipment necessary to perform pothole repair, spot leveling with hot bituminous pavement, the application of a 1" overlay of hot bituminous pavement, and the application of traffic markings on two sections of the Natchez Trace Parkway, a unit of the National Park Service. Section one is 15.9 miles in length and runs from mileposts 320.4 to 336.3 in Colbert and Lauderdale counties in Alabama. This section will receive both paving and new traffic markings. Section two is 23.2 miles in length and runs from milepost 415.8 to 439.0 in Maury and Williamson counties in Tennessee. This section will be restriped only. Bid quantities on this job are as follows: hot bituminous pavement, 12,450 tons; new broken yellow centerline (90 mil thermoplastic), 12.3 miles; new solid yellow centerline (90 mil thermoplastic) 11.7 miles; new solid white edge line (40 mil hot spray paint) 28.0 miles; restripe broken yellow centerline (90 mil thermoplastic), 7.4 miles; restripe solid yellow centerline (90 mil thermoplastic) 35.6 miles; and restripe solid white edge line (40 mil hot spray paint) 45.0 miles. Contract award is anticipated to occur in time for pavement operations to commence in late summer (2001); work shall be concluded within 120 days of the start date. Magnitude of this project is $500,000 to $1,000,000. Procurement is being conducted under full and open competition procedures. Solicitation package will be available o/a July 16, 2001.
