Description
The contract(s) resulting from this solicitation will include services for renovations and miscellaneous improvements at variousUSPS owned or leased facilities in the Capital, Baltimore, and NorthernVirginia Districts. Contractors must have a minimum of 4 years experience as of the date of issue in general construction work as a general contractor. Contractors must also possess the capabilities of working at least4 to 8 jobs at the same time, and be located in the states of Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. The base contract is for one year with four one-year renewal options. The initial contract value is $250,000 where the total quantity of work ordered during this contract will not be less than $10,000. The Postal Service reserves the option to increase the potential value of the contract in increments of $250,000 (as deemed necessary by the Contracting Officer) not to exceed $5,000,000. The contractor will not be required to perform a job where the value of the work required in any one building is less than $500 per work order. Specific Work Order/s will be issued by the Contracting Officer in accordance with the "Unit Pri ce Schedule" and Specifications. Offeror's will be required to submit One (1) "Multiplier" to be applied to the various Unit Prices established in the Unit Price Schedule; The Multiplier must contain the Offeror's overhead, profit, bonds, insurance and all other contingencies. No allowances for such items will be made after contract award. A Pre-Proposal Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 18, 2001 @ 10:00 am at the Capital Metro Facilities Service Office, 10400 Little Patuxent Parkway, Suite 400, Columbia, Maryland. Offers are due by 3:00 PM on August 1, 2001. Solicitations will be available on or about July 2, 2001. The Postal Service reserves the right to reject any or all offers.
