Description

Colonial National Historical Park is soliciting bids for the installation of a FM-200 Fire Suppression system and the removal of an existing Halon 1301 system in the historic Nelson House and Moore House located in Yorktown,VA. Work will include inspecting and verifying all existing piping to ensure it will operate safely with the FM-200 system. Exposed piping in the basement and attic areas may be modifyed to accept the new cylinders and discharge nozzles. Work in the Moore House will include the replacement of a new fire control panel,ion,duct and heat detectors, horns, pull stations, abort stations, main and standby power supply. Removal and transportation of Halon 1301 from each site will be the responsibility of the contractor. The government's estimated price for this requirement falls within the following established range: $100,000 -- $250,000. Solicitations will be available on July 16, 2001.
