Description

This is a combined synopsis-/-solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and THERE WILL BE NO WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTATION ISSUED. The solicitation is a Request for Quotations and the number is RFQ R5-01-20-030. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. This solicitation is issued on a unrestricted basis. Line item is as follows: Airborne Thermal Imaging System. The system must produce GIS imagery and supply this information for mapping. The system will be used to gather intelligence from a fixed wing aircraft flying over fires. Information will be stored on CD's or floppy disks. The system must meet the following requirements: a. It must be a dual imaging system containing a Long wave IR sensor and a CCE color video camera mounted in a 3 axis stabilized gimbal platform with continuous electronic zoom. b. The system must include a GPS interface, video recorder, and two color LCD active matrix displays for the FWD and AFT observers. c. The system must be capable of being mounted on a fixed-wing 690 Turbine Commander with a maximum allowable indicated airspeed of 250 knots. The quantity is 1 each, with delivery points as follows: USDA Forest Service; Regional Aviation Group, South Zone; 4503 W. William Barnes; Lancaster, CA 93536-2459; Attention: Jeff Bolick. PLEASE PROVIDE PRICING, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS, TRAINING INFORMATION (location and time), MAINTENANCE AVAILABILITY (including cost) AND WARRANTY INFORMATION. The requested delivery time is 30 days after receipt of order, however, quoters may offer alternative delivery times. Quotations will be evaluated on price and other factors, including; specific features available, training offered, warranty, past performance and quality of the model. If the system has a Auto Tracking System or Video Downlink System available, please price these options separately. Quotations will be considered for Purchase, Lease, or Lease with Option to Purchase.
