NSN 7R-5960-01-477-9997-XE, Ref Nr 3516400, Qty 16 EA, Delivery FOB Origin -- Only one approved sole source will be solicited because the articles are highly specialized parts, designed and manufactured by a non-Governmental activity and the Navy does not have the drawings or other technical data required for acquisition by other than the one source listed on the source control drawing. Therefore, only Duotech Services (5Y609), the one approved source will be solicited for this requirement. See clause which defines: "Source Approval Required Prior to Award." noting that the Government does not possess or has not yet acquired or developed technical data, to purcahse this item from other sources and is limited to the source named above. Note 26: Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitations for the described supplies or services.
