- Description
- The Library of Congress, National Library Service, Physically Blind and Handicap intends to negotiate on a sole- source basis with the Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind for training on the following adaptive equipment: Telesensory X40 & X80 Navigator (Braille Display) Versabraille PC (VBPC) -- Basic WordProcessing Software WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS WordPerfect 7 for Windows Pine Lynx Eudora (E-mail software) Netscape Communicator Window Eyes Vocal Eyes Duxbury Program (Generic File Reader Program) Jaws for Windows Advanced Jaws (including writing scripts) There is a need for individualized training on-site for an estimated 60-120 hours. The Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind operates a full-service Assistive Technology Center and is staffed with experts to meet the training needs of the NLS/BPH.
