Description

Project is located on the Malheur National Forest, Middle Fork of the John Day River. Work consists of furnishing and placing a double lane prestressed concrete girder bridge, including the abutment and pilings, on Forest Road 36 where an existing single lane Glulam bridge is currently in service. The existing bridge and associated piers shall be removed and disposed of by the Contractor. Associated work includes mobilization, soil stabilization, construction of approaches, placement of crushed aggregate base, placement of hot mix pavement, traffic control, construction of deflector barbs and construction of temporary bypass road and bridge. Work to be completed by fall of 2002. Government estimate is between $250,000 and $500,000. This project is totally set aside for small business concerns.
