Description

KICKBUSH GABION WALL, Sandpoint Ranger District, Bonner County, Idaho. Work consists of removal & replacement of a portion of an existing gabion wall. The gabion wall will require select backfill acquired from a commercial source. The wall will also require geogrid reinforcement and a prefabricated geotextile underdrain. Work includes excavation & shaping a large slope above the gabion wall. Excess material from the slope will be hauled and placed on the 1180 road or placed at a designated waste site. Aggregate surfacing will be placed along the gabion wall and on top of the excess excavation material placed on the 1180 road. A small rock buttress will also be constructed adjacent to the gabion wall. Estimated price range between $100,000 and $250,000. Estimated start work of September 1, 2001 with contract time of 60 calendar days. See Note 26
