Description

Remove, dispose and replace unstable wooden trail bridge(size of old bridge: 4' wide X 55' long). Fabricate, deliver and install at the job site a 8' wide x 65' long truss type steel bridge with wooden plank deck for pedestrian passage. Design and construct abutments and/or bridge approach. This will include incidental work such as; clearing and grubbing, removal, excavation, backfilling, grading and compaction of backfill with mechanical tampers. The Gulch Creek Trail bridge is located approximately 80 miles south of Anchorage, Alaska on Seward Highway. The project site is approximately 1/4 mile off the highway. Contract time is 60 calendar days. Estimated start work date is early September 2001. Estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The solicitation will be posted to our web site (URL address shown below) for downloading by C.O.B. on July 25, 2001. It will be the responsibility of the bidder to check the web site for any amendments to the solicitation.
