Description
Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform Repairs to the Wash Rack . The work includes the following: (1) Repair of the existing C-130 concrete wash pad and associated drive-through ramps, (2) Improvements to the drainage system, (3) The extension of existing C-130 parking, (4) Small drive repairs, (5) The rehabilitation of the wash rack steel structures, and (6) Concrete curbs relocation. The work requires trenching across the airport?s asphalt taxiway and maintaining an open travel-way for small aircraft at all times. The existing concrete pad and associated ramp is 12-inches thick, with a 6-inch concrete base. There is a charge of $30.00 for the bid package. The check should be made payable to the U. S. Coast Guard and forwarded to the CEU Miami address. The estimated price range is between $250,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The applicable NAICS Code is 23493, with a three-year average annual receipts small business size standard of 27.5 million. Bid guarantee, payment and performance bonds are required. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to both small and large business concerns. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by this agency. Those who have previously requested this project under the Presolicitation Notice , posted on 02/26/01, do not need to request again. The request for a bid package must be submitted in writing and can be faxed to: (305) 278-6696. For: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises : The Department of Transportation ( DOT) Office of Small Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSBDU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guarantee on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.00.
