Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commerical items or services prepared in accordance with format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only soliciation and a written solicitation will not be issued. This soliciation is issued for Request for Quotation (RFQ No. NIA-01-AW-LNG7). The soliciation clause and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-6. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) for this acquisition is 5049. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 421490. NIH, National Institute on Aging, Gerontology Research Center intends to purchase one (QTY-1) AutoGenprep 3000 Nucleic Acid Purification System. The equipment must include user manual; main unit with operating firmware; fully automated for the isolation from tissues, mouse tail, buffy coat, whole blood, cultured cells, plasmid, BAC, PAC, and cosmid; capability of processing, unattended, up to 48 samples in 4-6 hours; integral swinging bucket rotor centrifuge module; XYZ robotic sample handling; menu driven microprocessor control, no filter or column required for the recovery of nucleic acid; waste bottles with weight sensors; adjustable parameters for optimization of your protocol; transparent front door for easy watching the movement of robot and centrifuge, a HEPA-Filter to prevent any aerosol contamination.
