Description

This procurement is for the purchase of the following commercial items: Computer Expansion Assemblies (P/N) 90-500-002-D) -- Quantity thirty five (35) each, LCD Monitor/Keyboard (P/N 90-700-016-C) -- Quantity thirty five (35) each. Subject items are required to serve as an operator's interface to evaluate and control the AN/WSN-7 Ring Laser Gyro Navigation System (RLGN). The IP-1747/1746 performs this task by continuously monitoring attitude (Heading, Roll, and Pitch) position (Latitude and Logitude), and velocity and rate data output of the RLGN, displaying and plotting these parameters, and storing critical data for analysis. Displays shall be provided in rack-mounted and wall-mounted packaging supporting a 13.8" high resolution (1024x768) Active Matrix Flat Panel Display with integrated Touch Screen technology. This rack-mounted Intel-based 200MHz Pentium computer, employing a 3-slot IBM compatible ISA backplane struction in conjunction with the VME-based open system architecture expansion bus must be packaged in a very slim rack-mounted package/wall-mounted display package and employ a high density multifunction 200 MHz Pentium CPU board supporting all PC-related peripheral functions, such that the complete system will fit within the maximum rack-mount envelope packaging of the required 3.5"H x 19"W x 26'D. A Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract is anticipated. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 421430. It is the intention of the Government to issue a sole source contract to General Digital Corporation, 160 Chapel Road, Manchester, CT 06040. General Digital Corporation has engineered slight modifications to the commercial off the shelf items in order to meet the government's strict requirements.
