Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract for a base year of twelve months and four (4) 12-month options periods under full and open competition for disaster recovery services for its Washington, D.C. facility. This service requires the Contractor to provide a primary and secondary hot site and a cold site. The hot sites will consist of a fully operational computer system. The cold site will consist of a computer ready site in which the BEP shall install replacement hardware in the event of a disaster or if the BEP is unable to resume operations at its own facility within six (6) weeks. The Contractor's primary hot site and cold site shall be located no closer than 50 miles and no further than 350 miles from the BEP's Washington, D.C. facility. The secondary hot site shall be located in a different city in case the primary site is destroyed. The current contract expires September 30, 2001, therefore the anticipated award date is not later than October 1, 2001. The anticipated release date of this Solicitation is July 18, 2001. The solicitation and all amendments will be posted via FedBizOps. Interested parties should register at www.eps.gov in order to receive the Solicitation upon its release.
