- Description
- This requirement covers the Installation of Government Furnished Equipment (Pipe and Fittings) for Replacement of Sections of the Raw Water and Crude Oil Headers at West Hackberry, Task No. WH-MM-343. This task replaces the entire section of the Sweet Crude Oil and the Raw Water headers running east and west located south of the heat exchangers. This will be accomplished by installing new above ground piping from the northwest corner of the heat exchangers to west of the existing cable tray rack adjacent to Road "E". The lower section of the cable tray will be raised to accommodate the installation of the new headers. This work will include the replacement and splicing of two (2) 5 KV cables. The 36" and 12" motor operated isolation valves on the crude oil header will be relocated from their current location to west of the heat exchanger area. This area, for purposes of clarity, will be identified as the Sweet CO/RW North/South isolation manifold. The south crude oil header will be removed and replaced from the Sweet CO North/South isolation manifold to south of the heat exchanger road. In addition, five (5) low point drains on the branch piping to caverns 101, 102, 104, 105 and 108 will be replaced. The north crude oil header will tie-into the Sweet CO North/South isolation manifold and will be modified and /or replaced as follows. Branch piping from caverns 103 and 107, currently installed on the south crude oil header, will be installed on the existing north header. The east/west piping including the 36" branch tee between caverns 109 and 110 will be replaced to cavern 113. A portion of the 16" branch piping to cavern 110 will be replaced with above ground piping. The North/South Raw Water Header will be replaced from cavern 105 north to the 36" tee between cavern 109 and 110, and west to cavern 113. SOL will be issued on or about August 7, 2001, and is restricted to small business concerns. See numbered note No. 1. The NAICS code is 234910.
