Description

Furnish all material, labor, equipment, tools, and supervision as required to provide this VA medical facility a new secondary power distribution system in the hospital building. Work is mostly electrical and includes furnnishing both normal and emergency power systems distribution panels on floors 4 thru 12, providing the assoicated rework to the main switchgear required to feed these new distributiuon panels, new secondary feeders conduit & wire, and demo existing feeder bus duct, selected low voltage transformers & abandon panels. To be considered contractor must have experiances in performing this work. All work shall be performed pursuant to all local, state, and federal regulations, as per contract drawings and specs stipulated in the SOL and shall be completed within approx. 545 days of NTP. A charge of $175.00 is required for each bid package requested. SOL will be mailed to the first 30 bidders who responds with a bid deposit. Bid Deposit must be in the form of a company or cashier's check, or money order made payable to: "VA Medical Center/508." No personal checks will be accepted. Deposits are refundable upon returning ALL bid documents within 20 days of BOD. ALL REQUESTS FOR BID PACKAGES MUST BE IN WRITING ACCOMPANY BY DEPOSIT. NO FAX OR TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Est. cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Est. issue dtd o/a 7-16-01. BOD: 8-16-01. Contract award is subject to availability of funds. Pursuant to FAR 19.1007(b), this is an unrestricted procurement.
