Description

THE FOLLOWING ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS PROVIDED:=20 ISSUE DATE: 07/19/01. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary for Maintenance Dredging at USCG Station Jonesport, Jonesport, ME (Washington County). Scope of Work: Dredge approximately 3,000 cubic yards of material from the Coast Guard Station Jonesport mooring basin, transport and disposal of the material at an offshore site approximately 5 miles east of Jonesport. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with applicable permits. Dredging and disposal shall be mechanical; hydraulic dredging is not acceptable. =20 ORIGINAL NOTICE WAS AS FOLLOWS: SPECIALIZED MARINE EXPERENCE is required to perform this work. NAICS code is 234990. Estimated cost of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 07/19/01. The bid opening date is scheduled for 8/21/01 at 2:00 pm. Our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Any amendments issued to the solicitation will be posted solely on this web site. A bidders list is no longer available. This project is issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is unrestricted. THE FOLLOWING NOTICE IS PROVIDED AS INFORMATION FOR MINORITY, WOMEN-OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES: The Dept of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000.
