Description

The work performed under this project consist of providing all facilities, plans, labor, transportation, materials, equipment, and the performance of all work necessary to renovate Tyer House, VAQ Building, including gutting the building down to the concrete structure. The solicitation will be issued as an 8(a) set-aside restricted to Region 4 (AL, FL, GA, KY, MS, NC, SC, and TN.) The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 23332 and the size standard is $27,500,000. Magnitude of proposed construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The solicitation package will be issued in the form of a Request for Proposal (RFP) and will be made available for downloading from the Internet (Federal Business Opportunities Web-Site) address www.arnet.gov/FedBusOpps/ on approximately 23 Jul 01. Specifications and drawings will NOT be directly provided in a paper hard copy format. Notification of any changes to this solicitation (amendments) shall be made only on the Internet. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the above listed web address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation's specifications and drawings. Downloading from the Internet is free of charge; however, some plans and specifications will take a considerable amount of time to download. Telephone and fax requests will not be accepted. The closing date is tentatively scheduled for 23 Aug 01. Award will be made using the Performance Price Trade-Off (PPT) process. OFFORS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED FROM THOSE 8(a) CONTRACTORS LOCATED IN REGION 4 AS IDENTIFIED ABOVE. FIRMS RESPONDING WILL BE CHECKED THROUGH THE SBA PRONET SITE http://pro-net.sba.gov.
